DRL Limited wins Business of the Year at Bolton & Bury Business awards

(PRWeb UK) June 17, 2010 -- Online kitchen appliance retailer DRL Limited (http://www.appliancesonline.co.uk/) was crowned Business of the Year 2010 at the Bolton & Bury Business awards, which took place at the De Vere White’s hotel in Bolton.

DRL fought off competition from Leigh’s Paints, a 150 year old paint manufacturer and TV and Video Direct, a rapidly expanding, family-owned electrical retailer to take home the prize.

Business Bolton was the headline sponsor of the regional awards, with North West Tonight weather presenter Dianne Oxberry compering the event and ex-Burnley player and now stadium designer Paul Fletcher as guest speaker.

DRL Limited acquired Manchester based white goods distribution company Expert Logistics in 2009, taking their annual group turnover to an estimated £120m and group profit to an estimated £3.9m for the tax year ending March 2010.
